The video of Modupe Abiola talking came out after some Yoruba people tried to take over a government office in Oyo State on April 13, 2024.

She said Yoruba people are now their own country. They’re not part of Nigeria anymore. She said this happened on April 12, 2024.

But some Yoruba leaders, like Igboho and Akintoye, say they’re not part of this. They don’t want Yoruba people to leave Nigeria.

The people who tried to take over the office were stopped by the police and soldiers. Later, the Nigerian Army said they arrested nine people who tried to take over the office. They found a gun with them.

Later, it was said that the people who tried to take over the office were part of a group called ‘Ominira Yoruba,’ led by Modupe Abiola.

Yoruba leaders like Akintoye and Igboho said they’re not part of this group.

Nigerians are worried about what’s happening. They think what Modupe Abiola said is very serious and might cause problems.

Yoruba nationĀ agitators, why are you throwing stones at the propellers of the plane when one of your illustrious sons is now the pilot?

– @ShehuSani

That Yoruba nation thing in Ibadan could have ended up worse. They came prepared to cause mayhem with cutlasses and guns. The state needs to start engaging these non state actors with extreme prejudice. If they know they will most likely end up dead, they will stop trying to commit treason.

I read the Yoruba comments under the video where this lunatic declared the so calledĀ Yoruba NationĀ madness and I was happy to find out that no single Yoruba person is supporting this madness. Southeast couldn’t have become what it is today if igbos rose up against IPOB.

I just saw a tweet from the prime minister in finland, and a video from theĀ Yoruba nationĀ president in london ā€¦ my conclusion is that both of these groups are made up of power hungry, delusional humans That have self esteem issues

No space for illegalities in the Southwest. Real reasons it is the safest region in Nigeria.Ā Yoruba NationĀ agitators are in for a ride awakening.

– @SheethJamaal

Those Yoruba nation agitators that invaded the Oyo state secretariat yesterday, what were they thinking about and who are their sponsors and advisors? Even a novice wouldn’t have planned that kind of movement in that manner, these people just volunteered to live freely inside the prison.
