Fans angry, calls on organizers to ban Doja Cat from Met Gala after wearing wet T-Shirt and bathroom towel to event

At the recent Met Gala, Doja Cat, an American singer, stirred up controversy by arriving in a wet T-shirt and sporting a bathroom towel.

Anticipation was high for Doja Cat’s attire at this year’s Met Gala, especially after her memorable appearance on the red carpet at last year’s event, which paid homage to Karl Lagerfield’s cat, Choupette.

However, her choice for this year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” inspired by a J.G. Ballard short story from 1962, and the exhibit’s focus, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” left many disappointed.

She arrived wearing an oversized T-shirt that looked drenched, as if straight out of the shower.

It seemed she had come directly from her bathroom to the red carpet, with a towel wrapped around her body and another on her head. Moreover, her makeup seemed to have smudged down her face.

In subsequent photos, Doja Cat is seen removing her towel to reveal bleached blonde hair, still wearing the drenched T-shirt.

Social media erupted with reactions to her appearance. One user expressed, “If this is her only outfit, then Doja Cat shouldn’t be invited next year. Anna Wintour, take note. Didn’t you ban her from the Met Gala last year?”

Another commented, “She’s never getting invited again, I fear.”

A third opinion read, “Doja Cat should be banned from the #metgala if this is the final look.”

And yet another user concluded, “I would’ve sent her home and banned her from all future Met Galas for wearing this nonsense 0/10.”
