Anthony Joshua won’t face Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk in his next fight The British boxer will return to the ring at Wembley later this year It’ll be Joshua’s first fight since beating Francis Ngannou in March
Anthony Joshua’s next opponent won’t be his longtime rivals Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk as he gears up for his next match later this year.
Following his victory over UFC legend Francis Ngannou in a showcase event in Saudi Arabia back in March, the British boxer was expected to square off against either Fury or Usyk next.
As reported by Punch NG, British boxer Derek Chisora has revealed that Joshua is slated to be the main attraction at a boxing event at Wembley later this year, where he’ll face off against the winner of the Daniel Dubois and Filip Hrgovic bout.
“He will fight the winner of Daniel Dubois and [Filip] Hrgovic in Wembley. I’ve got a big mouth. That’s the plan. It’s gonna be a sick, a little adventure for Turki Alalshikh to bring it back to London.”

Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, thinks that if Fury beats Usyk next month, Joshua might face Fury instead of having a rematch with Usyk.
Joshua might compete for a title soon
Additionally, Joshua might have a shot at a title fight soon. The British boxer is currently ranked No.3 in the IBF rankings, and with the No.2 spot vacant, there’s an opportunity, according to Talk Sport.
At 34 years old, Joshua, a two-time heavyweight champion, could be selected as the next challenger to face the winner of the Fury versus Usyk bout, which is expected to take place later in May.
The IBF has already stated that they’ll strip the victor of the undisputed match between Fury and Usyk if they opt for a rematch.
Anthony Joshua is back in training
Previously, Sports Brief announced that the two-time heavyweight champion, Joshua, has resumed training in preparation for a potential match against the victor of the Fury vs. Usyk clash.
The Nigerian-British boxer was seen training alongside coach Ben Davidson, who himself is a former boxing champion.
Joshua shared a photo of himself working on the pads at Davison’s Harlow gym. His sparring partner, Jeamie Tshikeva, expressed confidence, predicting that AJ will secure his third world championship title.
