The Yoruba epic movie called “Beast of Two Worlds” has been a big hit in Nigerian cinemas, making a whopping ₦101.2 million in just five days since its release.
The film also had a great start, earning ₦63.2 million in its opening weekend. This success has been celebrated by the filmmakers, who expressed their gratitude to the audience for their trust in their movies.
According to data from the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), “Beast of Two Worlds” had the biggest opening weekend for any Nollywood film this year. It even outperformed the Hollywood movie “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” which premiered at the same time but earned only ₦49.3 million during its opening weekend.
The CEAN, which collects official data on movies shown in Nigerian cinemas, hasn’t released the film’s gross earnings for the first week yet.

The movie is co-directed by Adebayo Tijani and Odunlade Adekola, who also stars as the king. It boasts an impressive cast, including Sola Sobowale, Femi Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji, Mercy Aigbe, Bimbo Akintola, Fathia Balogun, Ibrahim Chatta, Peju Ogunmola, and Olayode Juliana.
“Beast of Two Worlds” joins the ranks of successful indigenous epics in Nollywood, following the likes of “Aníkúlápó,” “King of Thieves,” “Òrìṣà,” and “Jagun Jagun.”
