Bobrisky’s Caution: “Don’t Spray Money or You’ll End Up as a Kirikiri Landlord”

Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky, has issued a stern warning to Nigerians about the risks of misusing naira, advising them that such actions could lead to imprisonment. This caution came shortly after Bobrisky’s release from prison on Monday.

Recall that Bobrisky had been sentenced to six months in prison for the abuse of naira currency. His recent remarks underscore the seriousness of such offenses.

In an interview with GoldMyneTV, Bobrisky emphasized the importance of following legal guidelines and respecting financial regulations. He stated, “Don’t spray money, unless you’ll be a landlord inside Kirikiri.” He further noted that even seemingly minor infractions, not just violent crimes, could land one in trouble.

Bobrisky expressed his gratitude towards his friends who supported him during his imprisonment and mentioned that his focus is solely on them. He said, “I’m only focusing on my friends who were there for me, and I’m grateful. I’m not thinking about any other person.”

In other developments, Bobrisky, whose full name is Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, shared a heartfelt video after his release from prison. He reflected on his six-month sentence, which was handed down for damaging naira notes at a movie premiere. After spending four months behind bars, Bobrisky has voiced his appreciation for his fans’ unwavering support and is thrilled to be free once more.

Eniola Ajao, who remained by his side, also extended her thanks to fans for their steadfast support.

Bobrisky was initially arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, for the offense of naira abuse.
