The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, also known as JAMB, has announced the release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results.
This year, over 1.94 million candidates took the exam in 118 towns and over 700 centers across Nigeria.
Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, made the announcement during a press conference held at the board’s headquarters in Bwari, Abuja, on Monday.
The exam ran from Friday, April 19, to Monday, April 29, 2024.
JAMB explained that they delayed the results for a few days to carefully review them, ensuring credibility and integrity. They wanted to clear any doubts, especially regarding issues like impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malpractice.
Here’s how you can check your JAMB results for 2024:
Checking JAMB Results via the Website
- Visit the JAMB eFacility Portal: Open your web browser and go to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login.
- Enter Your Login Details: Use the email address and password you used during registration.
- Access Your Results: After entering your details, click on the “Check UTME Results” button. Your scores for each subject will be shown on the screen.
Checking JAMB Results via SMS
- Open Your Messaging App: Launch your text messaging app on your mobile phone.
- Compose a New Message: Type “RESULT” (in all caps), followed by your JAMB Registration Number.
- Send the SMS: Send the message to either 55019 or 66019, which are the official JAMB result SMS numbers.
- Receive Your Results: You’ll get a reply SMS from JAMB with your scores for each subject.
- Service Charge: Keep in mind that this method costs N50, deducted from your mobile phone airtime.
