Music lovers in Abuja can look forward to an exciting evening as award winning Nigerian composer, musical director and performer Cobhams Asuquo brings the sixth edition of his live concert experience, Songs and Stories with Cobhams Asuquo, to the city.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Abuja. The event promises an intimate night filled with music, storytelling and memorable collaborations.

For the Abuja edition, Cobhams will perform alongside some of Nigeria’s most admired voices, including Johnny Drille, Timi Dakolo and Korede Bello. Together, they will deliver a performance that blends strong vocals with rich live instrumentation and creative musical interaction.
Over the years, Songs and Stories with Cobhams Asuquo has grown into a distinctive concert experience built around Cobhams’ role as a composer, performer and musical director. During the show, he takes audiences through songs from his catalogue and musical influences while sharing the inspiration, humour and behind the scenes stories that have shaped his journey in music.
Unlike a typical concert format, the show unfolds like a musical journey. Through carefully arranged live performances, open storytelling and on stage collaborations, the event places musicianship and audience connection at its core, offering a deeper and more immersive experience than the usual pop concert.
The Abuja edition is supported by several partners including Legend Extra Stout, Wema Bank, The Macallan and the Transcorp Hilton Abuja. Other supporting partners include Four Cousins, Pepsi, Pennek Nigeria, Abysteph Global Link, Akins Corporate Services and Castle Lite.Speaking ahead of the event, Cobhams described the concert as one of the most personal ways he shares his work with audiences.
“Songs and Stories is about more than performing songs,” he said. “It’s about sharing the journey behind the music, the people, the moments and the experiences that shaped it. Abuja has always been a wonderful audience, and I’m looking forward to sharing the stage with some incredible artists and friends.”
With its blend of music, storytelling and collaboration, Songs and Stories with Cobhams Asuquo continues to stand out as one of the most thoughtfully curated live music experiences on Nigeria’s entertainment calendar.
