The victim, identified as @lotanaa on X, recounted how the driver disappeared with her car, laptop, and other valuables on his very first day on the job.

The suspected thief took the stolen car to a church, where he publicly thanked God for blessing him with a new vehicle. Shockingly, he also sold her MacBook Pro, valued at over a million naira, for a mere N100,000 at Alaba market in Lagos.

Lotanaa promptly reported the incident to the CP Tactical Team C in Surulere, who acted swiftly and successfully helped recover all her stolen items.

Reported Speech: “I can’t believe I’m on a police bus heading to Badagry to track down my new driver who stole my car today, his first day of work. They finally caught and arrested him last night. Can you believe this guy took the car to church and testified that God surprised him with a new car?

“My laptop was in the car, and I was devastated initially, but it ultimately helped us track him because I didn’t have a car tracker. Can you believe he sold my new MacBook Pro at Alaba for 100k? I’m just grateful to God that I got both my car and laptop back exactly as I left them.

“I’m immensely thankful for the CP Tactical Team C at Surulere police station. They were incredibly professional, efficient, reassuring, and smart throughout the ordeal. I was impressed by their dedication. They tracked him down, reassured me constantly, and kept me calm.

“They are definitely not your average police officers; they were quick, sharp, and well-trained. I’m just incredibly grateful to God that everything in my car was intact—my belongings, my bags, and my laptop, which thankfully hadn’t been wiped. It’s truly a miracle.

“Thank you to everyone who checked on me and prayed for me; I truly appreciate it. The last 36 hours were no joke, but as always, I’m thankful to God for His kindness and love towards me. Honestly, doesn’t this sound like something out of a comedy skit? God will surely help us in Nigeria 🙏🏾.”
