In a ceremony rich in tradition and respect, the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport officially retired 18 senior officers on Thursday, March 26, 2026. The event took place in Benin City and marked the end of 35 years of dedicated service by these officers.

The ceremony also wrapped up a three-day conference focused on improving logistics and transport support for military operations across the country.

The group included four Major Generals and 14 Brigadier Generals. Speaking on behalf of them, Olaniyi Dare reflected on their long careers, which spanned command roles, administrative duties, and peacekeeping missions both within Nigeria and abroad.

One of the highlights of the event was the traditional pulling-out parade, a symbolic send-off reserved for senior officers.

The event drew top military officials, including the Corps Commander, Danjuma Shagaya, along with former commanders and representatives of the Chief of Army Staff.
