The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has taken action to shut down the KFC restaurant located at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. This decision comes into effect from March 28, 2024.
According to a statement released by Obiageli Orah, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at FAAN, the closure is a result of alleged discriminatory treatment towards a Passenger with Reduced Mobility (PRM) at the airport.
Orah stated that FAAN’s decision aligns with the Lagos State law on People with Special Needs. The statement was shared by Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, on his social media handle (@fkeyamo) on Thursday, March 27.
