The “Road to 26” exhibition series lived up to expectations on Thursday, March 26, 2026, as France secured an impressive 2–1 victory over Brazil at Gillette Stadium.

Early in the second half, France were dealt a major setback when Dayot Upamecano was sent off for bringing down Endrick as he raced toward goal.

With a numerical advantage, many expected Brazil to take control. Instead, France struck again. Substitute Hugo Ekitiké capitalized on a defensive lapse and fired home a low shot in the 54th minute to make it 2–0.

Brazil Fight Back

Brazil responded with urgency and pulled a goal back in the 72nd minute. Bremer rose highest to head in a corner delivered by Raphinha, setting up a tense finish.
