The first look at Harry Potter’s 20th Anniversary: Back to Hogwarts is here. On Wednesday, HBO Max revealed scenes from its upcoming Harry Potter special – the premiere of HBO Max’s New Year’s Eve – with main trio Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint sitting in the Gryffindor common room. This is a proper first look at Harry Potter: Back to Hogwarts’ 20th Anniversary after a brief tease related to host Helen Mirren Harry Potter: Hogwarts House Tournament (airing on Amazon Prime Video in India) was revealed over the weekend. Return to Hogwarts will also be available in India, but details of where it will air have not been announced.
As the title suggests, Return to Hogwarts celebrates the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter – specifically, the 20th anniversary of the first film in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which was released in November 2001. And as does Friends: Encounter, which was also made for HBO Max, Harry Potter’s 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will feature interviews and talks with the actors.
In addition to Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Watson (Hermione Granger) and Grint (Ron Weasley), Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will also include Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Jason Isaacs (Lucius). Malfoy), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Mark Williams (Jersey Williams)), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas.) ), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Evana Lynch (Luna Lovegood) and Ian Hart (Quirinus Quirrell).

Also in attendance was Chris Columbus, who directed Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Harry Potter: Back to Hogwarts is a Warner Bros. Unscripted Television production, in collaboration with Warner Horizon. Casey Patterson of Casey Patterson Entertainment and Pulse Films is executive producer. The return to Hogwarts is at Warner Bros. Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
On the occasion of their 20th anniversary, the Harry Potter superstars met for a one-off special program called “Harry Potter: Back to Hogwarts”, which “will reveal new details about the production in extensive interviews and discussions with the actors”.
Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton and Bonnie Wright will star in the upcoming film special. Directors Chris Columbus, David Heyman, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell and David Yates will also appear.
