Jaruma Opens Up About Her Marriage and the Pressure Behind It

She married Ross Fahad Isabor in 2018, and although the marriage ended in divorce in 2021, they have a child together. During a conversation on the ‘Issues and Society’ podcast, Jaruma explained that the backlash she received from the northern community over her work with aphrodisiacs played a major role in her decision to marry.

“There was massive criticism from the north because I was selling sex products as a single lady. They wondered why people allowed a single lady to teach them what happens in the bedroom for lots of money.”

Jaruma revealed that despite the success of her business, which earned her N760 million in just three years, she faced relentless scrutiny. The pressure became so intense that she felt forced to marry to silence the critics.

“I just said if marriage is the problem, let me just do it. I didn’t get married because of love, I got married a month after meeting my ex-husband just to get away from the pressure I got from the north.”

Her ex-husband, Ross Fahad Isabor, was fully aware of the situation, as she was upfront with him about marrying due to external pressure rather than love.

In 2022, Ross publicly asked Jaruma to stop using his name to promote her “fake products.”
