Former Chelsea captain, John Terry has described Roman Abramovich as “the best owner in the world”.
The former England defender stated this while reacting to the Russian billionaire’s statement of putting the club on sale.
Abramovich bought the Blues for £140million way back in 2003, and oversaw the team becoming a force to reckon with in club football.
The Blues have collected 19 major trophies, including every title available within the last two decades, most of which was won while Terry was skipper of the team.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Terry poured encomiums on Abramovich for his work in West London.
“Thank you Roman @chelseafc. The best owner in the WORLD,” the 41-year-old wrote.
Terry left Chelsea in 2017, but returned last December to assist with coaching in the club’s academy.
