Kaduna State Government Denies Reports That Gov. Uba Sani Backed Political Aspirants.

The Kaduna State Government has dismissed as false reports circulating on social media claiming that Governor Uba Sani has endorsed certain aspirants for National Assembly positions ahead of upcoming political contests.

In a statement released in Kaduna, the state Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, described the claims as misleading and urged the public to ignore them completely. He explained that the governor has not endorsed or given special support to anyone seeking elective office.

According to the statement, Governor Sani remains committed to democratic values and believes candidates should emerge through a transparent and fair process within the party. He emphasized that party members and stakeholders should be allowed to choose their candidates through the established constitutional procedures.

“The attention of the Kaduna State Government has been drawn to a misleading message circulating on social media alleging that Governor Uba Sani has endorsed certain aspirants for elective positions. This claim is entirely false and should be disregarded,” the statement said.

Maiyaki added that the governor is currently focused on governance and implementing programmes aimed at improving the lives of people in Kaduna State, rather than getting involved in early political endorsements.

The government also cautioned individuals and groups against spreading fake or politically motivated information, warning that such actions could create unnecessary tension in the political space and mislead the public.

The commissioner further advised political stakeholders and residents to always confirm information from credible and official sources before sharing it. He stressed that responsible communication is important for maintaining peace and political stability in the state.

He also reaffirmed that Governor Sani will continue to respect the democratic rights of all aspirants and party members, while ensuring that political activities in the state follow due process and the rule of law.
