Details Unveiled by Federal Controller of Works

In a press briefing held in Lagos on Thursday, Korede Keisha, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, revealed the upcoming demolition plans. Keisha emphasized that residents whose houses are marked for demolition should visit the ministry’s secretariat in Lagos to address any necessary procedures.

Scheduled Demolition Operations

Keisha outlined that the demolition team will start removing the marked properties on Saturday. She emphasized the importance of this briefing to raise awareness among those affected by the project.

Keisha urged residents within the project corridor to cooperate and visit the ministry’s secretariat between Thursday and Friday to resolve any concerns before the demolition begins on Saturday. She stressed that the initial focus will be on the first three kilometers of the route.

Minister’s Message

Minister of Works Dave Umahi recently shared insights into the project, stating that the construction of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road is anticipated to take eight years. He disclosed that each kilometer of the road will cost N4 billion, contributing to the overall N15 trillion budget for the 700-kilometer route.
