Nigerian YouTuber Emdee Tiamiyu has reportedly been deported from the United Kingdom back to Nigeria by UK authorities.
This development follows months after reports emerged that Tiamiyu had been apprehended on charges of fraud, drawing significant public attention.
Emdee Tiamiyu rose to prominence last year following an interview with the BBC, where he discussed Nigerian immigrants who were involved in a financial scandal with the UK government.
In the interview, Tiamiyu commented on Nigerian students in the UK, suggesting that many were exploiting the student visa system to secure employment and bring their families to the country.
Subsequently, Tiamiyu faced accusations of defrauding the UK government of £160,000. Reports indicate that he allegedly diverted funds meant for relocation to construct a house in his home state of Ogun, Nigeria.
