Veteran Nollywood actor, Lari Williams is dead, Daily Report Nigeria can confirm.
Lari reportedly died at his home in Ikom, Cross River State, following a protracted illness.
He was popular for his roles in hit soap operas such as Village Headmaster, Ripples, and Mirror in The Sun.
The inaugural president of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), who had a career that spanned over five decades died aged 81.
Williams was bestowed with the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic in 2008.
He lectured Theatre Arts at the University of Lagos, Lagos State University, and the University of Calabar.
