Concerns in Kano State

The group has raised concerns about how Kwankwaso and Governor Abba Yusuf may have jeopardized national security within Kano state.

CNYM Criticizes Kwankwaso’s Comments on Tinubu

The Coalition of Northern Youth Movement (CNYM) strongly criticized Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso’s statement that President Bola Tinubu is incapable of addressing insecurity in the nation.

Failures Under Kwankwaso’s Tenure

The group asserts that Kwankwaso’s performance as Minister of Defence from 2003 to 2007 was inadequate. They accuse him of neglecting intelligence gathering, fostering ethnic tensions within the Armed Forces, and providing cover for extremist factions.

Dr. Talba Isah, the president of CNYM, highlighted these concerns in a statement released on Wednesday, April 10.

Threats to National Security

Isah warned of revealing how Kwankwaso and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf have allegedly compromised national security in Kano state. He emphasized that Kwankwaso is not in a position to advise the Tinubu administration or the Armed Forces on combating terrorism.

“We are consequently informing Kwankwaso that our Movement will not hesitate to produce a full dossier on how Kano State under Kwankwaso and his puppet, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has undermined national security in the last nine months if he does not begin to take noticeable remedial measures to undo the damage he has done to the country.”
