In Kano, the first phase will reach one million people, each receiving a 10kg bag of rice. Kano state, among other states, received its share of 120,000 bags in a ceremony held at the government house, hosted by Governor Abba Yusuf.

Governor Yusuf of Kano expressed gratitude for Dangote’s gesture, stating it came at a crucial time when many are struggling. Dangote believes this aid will help combat hunger and contribute to long-term solutions for communities nationwide.

Ogun State’s Rice Initiative: Rice sold at affordable prices

In a similar move, the government of Ogun State has purchased 100 truckloads of rice to sell at reduced prices to its residents. This aims to alleviate the burden of high food costs.
