Reports have confirmed that Sani Dangote, a prominent figure among bandits in northwest Nigeria, has met his demise in a fierce confrontation with a rival group in Zamfara state. According to information gathered, Dangote, along with his two siblings and several of his associates, fell victim to an attack orchestrated by another notorious figure named Dankarami. The clash, sparked by disputes over rustled cattle, resulted in the tragic demise of Dangote, who had been sought by Nigerian authorities since November 2022.
In Dunmurun, Zamfara state, the notorious bandit leader, Sani Dangote, reportedly met his end in a confrontation with a rival gang. According to a report by Daily Trust on Tuesday morning, April 9, the incident occurred during the early hours of Sunday, April 7, in Dunmurun, situated within the Zurmi local government area (LGA) of Zamfara state.
Known for his reign of terror in parts of Zamfara and Katsina states, the wanted bandit leader was engaged in a deadly exchange of gunfire with a gang led by Kachalla Dankarami, also known as Goska, resulting in his demise alongside his siblings.

“What happened was that one of the boys of Dankarami carted away a flock of sheep belonging to one of Dangote’s siblings, Sale Lamo, and he was trailed by the Dangote gang who retrieved the sheep and killed the boy.
“By then Dankarami was at Rukudawa, he was told about the incident and thus he came after them. By the time he reached Dumburum area, he heard that they had mobilised to fight him, so he waylaid them and pounced on them, killing Dangote, Lamo na Balewa and Usman Yellow.
