This announcement gained attention through a widely circulated video featuring her father expressing gratitude to the governor. Additionally, congratulations flooded Basirat’s Instagram profile, @damimarshall_, marking her new role.

In the video, KWAM1 praised Governor Sanwo-Olu for appointing his daughter during a live performance at Oba Sikirullah Apena’s birthday celebration and coronation. He shared that it was Damilola’s insistence that led him to publicly thank the governor for her appointment.

Among those extending congratulations was Nigerian citizen Olanrewaju-Smart Wasiu, who commended Basirat for her appointment and acknowledged her dedication to their party. Basirat responded graciously, expressing her gratitude.

Another well-wisher, Balogun Basia, celebrated the appointment as a significant milestone for both KWAM1’s family and Basirat individually, expressing hopes for more successes ahead.

Prior to her new role, Damilola held a prominent position as a principal partner at the law firm Damilola Ayinde Marshal and Co.

Efforts to confirm the appointment with the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile, were unsuccessful at the time of this report, as messages sent to his WhatsApp remained unanswered.
