Seun Kuti has entered the controversy surrounding his friend, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman (VDM), who recently made shocking revelations that have taken over social media. VDM’s claims involve crossdresser Bobrisky, the EFCC, and popular artist Falz, along with his renowned father, Senior Advocate Femi Falana. This scandal is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest stories.
Earlier reports from GistLover revealed that VDM shared a video containing a voice recording of Bobrisky, where he allegedly admitted to paying N15 million to certain EFCC officials to have his money laundering charges dropped. Bobrisky, charged earlier this year, boasted that his wealth and connections allowed him to avoid facing punishment.
In the video, Bobrisky also claimed he had discussions with Falz and his father, Femi Falana, who reassured him that his name would be cleared. In another shocking revelation, Bobrisky mentioned his “godfather” had arranged an apartment near the prison, just in case he had to serve time.
Seun Kuti, known for being outspoken, addressed the issue in a fiery live session. He revealed that VDM first brought the shocking evidence to his attention and that he trusted VDM enough to let him share the information publicly.
What angered Seun Kuti the most was the clear double standard in the way justice is served. He was frustrated that Bobrisky appeared to get favorable treatment from the EFCC, while Seun himself, despite his fame, had been sent to Panti prison during his own clash with the Nigerian police.

In his usual bold manner, Seun didn’t mince words. He took aim at the EFCC, claiming the agency was never truly intended to go after the real enemies of the state. According to Seun, the EFCC was created by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the U.S. government to target petty criminals like “yahoo boys” and online fraudsters, while corrupt politicians and wealthy individuals remain untouched.
Seun argued that the EFCC’s priorities are misplaced, as they ignore major political and corporate corruption in Nigeria and instead focus on young internet fraudsters, who he believes are not the country’s most pressing issue.
