Tapswap, a popular tap-to-earn app powered by TON Blockchain, has announced the postponement of its token allocation to users until the third quarter of this year.

Since its launch on February 15, 2024, Tapswap has gained massive popularity among Nigerians who tap their phone screens to earn money, amassing over 50 million users.

The management cited the need to enhance the user experience as the reason for delaying the event originally scheduled for July 1st. In a recent update shared on X, they described it as both ‘bad and good news’ for their players.

“We’ve decided to postpone the Shares-to-Token exchange event. You might wonder, what’s good about that? Just FUD? Not exactly. The delay is to ensure a better outcome for you,”

they explained.

Recently, Tapswap has garnered attention for potential listings on top exchanges and has become a major player in the global market of blockchain-based games, attracting both scammers and industry leaders.

“The Tapswap team is actively engaging with tier-1 exchanges. We’re thrilled about our community’s support,” they added.

Acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the delay, the management emphasized their commitment to refining tokenomics and launch strategies to ensure fairness and profitability for all stakeholders.

According to a report by The PUNCH, Tapswap’s Head of Communications, John Robbin, confirmed the postponement on June 20, 2024, after earlier plans for a July 1st token launch were disrupted by bot account issues.
