Tonto Dikeh Caught in Controversy: Verydarkman Shares Viral Video of Actress Harassing Car Dealer Over N2 Million Debt

Nigerian social media critic, Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has taken to social media to call out Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh. The drama unfolded after she was seen in a heated confrontation with a car dealer in Abuja, who claims she still owes him N2 million for a vehicle she purchased nearly a year ago.

Verydarkman releases video of Tonto Dikeh harassing car dealer shes owing N2 Million video goes viral

VDM shared the controversial video on his Instagram page, showing Tonto Dikeh causing a scene in the businessman’s office. According to VDM, Tonto damaged several items in the office despite being in debt for the car she had acquired from the dealer.

The backstory, as narrated by VDM, began when Tonto approached the car dealer, expressing interest in a Mikano vehicle. Unfortunately, the dealer didn’t have the exact car she wanted in stock. Instead, he suggested she visit the manufacturer’s office to purchase it directly, as it was available there.

When Tonto inquired about the price, she was quoted N90 million, which she found steep and offered to pay in installments. However, the manufacturer declined her installment offer, prompting the dealer to step in. He proposed buying the car himself and then selling it to Tonto, with a discount from his good relations with the manufacturers. As a result, he secured the car for N86 million, instead of the N90 million originally quoted to Tonto.

The dealer paid the full amount upfront and handed over the car to Tonto with the agreement that she would pay him in installments. Initially, Tonto paid N30 million as a down payment, but the situation quickly took a turn when she failed to make further payments for the next seven months. Under pressure, she eventually paid an additional N20 million, bringing the total paid to N50 million and leaving a balance of N36 million.

According to VDM, Tonto then started making smaller payments, sometimes as little as N1 million, until her debt was reduced to N2 million. Despite this, the dealer reportedly faced difficulties collecting the remaining amount.

VDM further explained that the car dealer had been trying to reach Tonto for payment since last year, but she was unresponsive. The situation escalated when Tonto contacted the dealer to request a car servicing, to which he agreed. The vehicle was sent to the manufacturer for servicing, and the dealer took the opportunity to ask Tonto to settle the remaining debt. He emphasized that it would be greatly appreciated if she could pay off the balance on the same day.

It was at this point, VDM claims, that Tonto stormed into the car dealer’s office and began causing a commotion. When the dealer arrived and confronted her, reminding her that he could take the car back since her name wasn’t officially on the documents, Tonto allegedly became violent. Reports indicate that she slapped the dealer and physically assaulted him by pulling at his clothes.

The altercation resulted in significant damage to the dealer’s office, with items such as a TV, coffee maker, and other electronics being destroyed.

In his post, VDM criticized Tonto for her actions, drawing a parallel between this incident and her public stance against bullying, particularly in relation to the Mohbad case. He remarked, “This same person talks about bullying for Mohbad. I told you that you don’t know all these people. This is how she goes around, abusing power. This is a clear abuse of power because she is now close to some politicians. You just want to take it out on people; it’s not fair. Nigerians, if this was somebody else, if a man did this to a woman, nobody would hear the end of it.”

VDM also expressed concern about Tonto’s political ambitions, stating, “This same person wants to enter power. She doesn’t even have political power yet, and see what she is doing. Imagine if someone like Tonto Dikeh gets political power in Nigeria. Just imagine the terror, imagine what common people will face. That would be the end of us. The sad part is that she can get away with it. Imagine if a man beat or harassed her like this over his own money?”

The video has since gone viral, sparking widespread debate and drawing attention to the alleged incident and the broader issues surrounding power dynamics and accountability.
