A heartbreaking incident has struck Jos, as a school building collapsed on students who were in the middle of writing their exams. This tragic event occurred at Saint’s Academy, located in Jos North of Plateau State.

Reports indicate that while the students were focused on their exams, a section of the building unexpectedly gave way, trapping many students underneath the rubble. Rescue efforts are already underway, with disturbing images and videos circulating online showing the bodies of some of the unfortunate victims.

As of now, the exact number of fatalities and survivors remains unclear.

“BREAKING: Several feared dead as a two-storey school building collapses in Plateau. A two-storey school building in Plateau state has collapsed, leaving many students and teachers trapped, with many feared dead. It was learnt that the school – Saint Academy located at the Busa Buji community in Jos North Local Government Area of the state collapsed on Friday morning around 8:30 am when many of the students and teachers were already in classes. The news of the collapsed building jolted the community as distraught residents and parents who had their wards in the school were said to have rushed to the institution to ascertain their fate. When Jay FM visited the school, many of the residents were seen wailing on the ground while security men and emergency workers were busy trying to pull survivors from the rubble.”
