US Election: Rapper Cardi B Endorses Kamala Harris for President

Previously, Cardi B had shown support for Harris following President Joe Biden’s debate with the Republican candidate, Donald Trump. She praised Biden’s decision to step down, which paved the way for Harris’s candidacy.

Reports indicate that President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the Democratic Party’s presidential race on Sunday, subsequently endorsing his Vice President, Kamala Harris, as the new flagbearer for the party.

Cardi B expressed her excitement on her X handle, writing, “Aha hahaha let’s go! I told y’all Kamala [Harris] was supposed to be the 2024 candidate… Stop f*ckin playin with me!”

In an earlier interview with Rolling Stone in May, Cardi B had mentioned she would abstain from voting in the November election if the major candidates were Joe Biden and Donald Trump. She explained her stance, stating she had once viewed Trump as a “dangerous threat,” but felt “layers and layers of disappointment” under Biden’s administration due to perceived domestic and foreign policy failures.

In related news, Cardi B has made it clear she has no intentions of retiring from music, despite claims by controversial rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden that she would not release another album. Cardi B criticized Budden for his comments on her project’s rollout and accused him of drug use.

The Grammy-winning artist stated that Budden had been attacking her in the media and trying to pit her against other female rappers. She also recalled an incident from her days as an exotic dancer, accusing Budden of being high on cocaine while she gave him two lap dances at Starlets.

During a recent X chat with fans, Cardi B declared, “I’m not a quitter. I might postpone, but I’ll never give up music. I’m not letting these b*tches take my bags!”

Starting his ambitious project on July 16, David turned Onikan Stadium into a vibrant canvas, aiming to create a massive map of Nigeria that showcases the country’s diverse cultures. Over six days, David’s work grew to surpass the previous record of 629.98 m² (6781.04 ft²), held by India’s Ravi Soni since November 30, 2021. David’s masterpiece now stands as a testament to his dedication and vision.

David’s ultimate goal is to achieve an artwork spanning 1000 square meters, pushing the boundaries of visual arts.

Throughout his artistic journey, David received tremendous support from notable Nigerians, transforming the event into a celebration of art and community. Among the supporters were Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate, Hilda Baci, a celebrated chef and former GWR holder, and Farooq Oreagba, a businessman renowned for his presence at the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival.

The College of Medicine University of Lagos (CMUL), David’s alma mater, also showed strong support for his record-breaking attempt.

David’s feat is expected to conclude on July 21, pending official confirmation from the Guinness World Records.
