In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Nigerian singer Oritse Femi shared surprising insights about Burna Boy’s relationship with his mother, Bose Ogulu. According to Oritse Femi, Burna Boy once stayed with him for a while due to feeling suffocated by his mother.
Oritse Femi revealed that Burna Boy felt overwhelmed by his mother’s presence and needed more personal space, which contrasts with the public’s perception of their close-knit relationship. Despite Bose Ogulu’s long-standing role as his manager and her constant presence at many of his performances, both in Nigeria and internationally, Burna Boy struggled with the lack of personal freedom.
In the interview, Oritse Femi said, “He felt like his mom was suffocating him, so he needed some time away.” This candid revelation sheds light on the complexities of their relationship, showing that even with professional success, personal dynamics can be challenging.
Bose Ogulu has been instrumental in Burna Boy’s career, accompanying him to numerous shows and supporting his rise to stardom. However, this new information highlights the personal sacrifices and difficulties they faced behind the scenes.
