The Federal Government is close to finalizing a new national minimum wage agreement as President Bola Tinubu has called for a meeting with the organised labour, comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC). The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Aso Villa on Thursday.
A reliable source within the labour leadership, who wished to remain anonymous, shared this information with our correspondent on Wednesday.
The source stated, “President Tinubu is eager to resolve the ongoing discussions about the minimum wage and has invited the presidents of both unions to a meeting.”
