Tiwa Savage, the celebrated Nigerian singer, has found herself in the midst of online mockery following reports suggesting that she boasted about successfully removing her leaked intimate video from the web and everyone’s devices.
This incident harks back to 2021 when the songstress caused a stir on the internet with the emergence of her explicit bedroom recording. The recent revelation regarding her purported engagement of an IT specialist to erase the footage from the digital realm has sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians, with many poking fun at her.
Tiwa Savage’s Sextape Revelation
According to sources, Tiwa Savage disclosed in October 2021 that she was facing blackmail after her private tape went viral. During an interview with Angie Martins of Power 105.1 in New York, the Afrobeats icon opened up about the origin of the video, stating that it was filmed during her relationship with a partner.
Reflecting on the incident three years later, the breakout star of “Kele Kele Love” expressed her primary concern at the time, fearing that her son, Jamil, might stumble upon the footage.
In light of this, Tiwa Savage admitted to seeking the help of an IT expert to purge the video from the internet and all connected devices.
“My greatest fear surrounding the leak of my intimate video was the potential exposure to my son,” she revealed. “To mitigate this risk, I enlisted the assistance of a skilled IT professional who successfully removed the video from online platforms and devices. As a result, it’s virtually untraceable now, even if it was previously stored on your phone.”
