Renowned Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon, recently shared his candid advice with a woman whose husband threw her out after she involved her brothers in their dispute.
In an anonymous online post, the woman sought advice following a heated argument with her husband, during which she called his mother a witch. This insult led to a slap from her husband, leaving her with a swollen face. In response, her brothers confronted and beat her husband. When she returned home, she found her belongings outside.
In her own words, she explained: “I’m about to lose my marriage. On Sunday, my husband and I argued, and in the heat of the moment, I insulted his mom, calling her a witch. He slapped me, and my face swelled up. I went to my family house, and my brother saw my face. He brought two boys and went to beat my husband. When I got back home, my things were outside. I love my man, please advise.”
Responding to her plea, Deyemi Okanlawon remarked that the situation had already resolved itself through a chain of actions and consequences. He urged the woman to accept the outcome.
“Abuse for argument, slap for abuse, beating for slap, bags for beating… ojoro don cancel, case don solve. No need for any advice again; just carry the bags to your papa/brother’s house. You have all done well!” he wrote.
Deyemi’s response underscores the importance of accepting the repercussions of one’s actions in relationships. His advice encourages individuals to reflect on their behavior and its impact on their partners and relationships.
