Emeka Ike, a veteran Nollywood actor, recently made his return to the screen after a lengthy absence. During an interview with NollyNow, he shared the significant strides he made while away from the industry.
“My absence wasn’t really bad because it created room for me to build more brands apart from Emeka Ike, you know. I now own Nollywood TV on Startimes and I am building other brands that are highly in demand,” Ike stated.
Ike also revealed that his break allowed him to explore opportunities in politics.
He expressed his excitement about returning to entertain his fans and fulfill his role as one of Nollywood’s pioneering performers. “We’re breaking the ice once again. I aim to keep entertaining my fans and meet their expectations,” he added.
Emeka Ike’s break from acting coincided with the breakdown of his marriage to Suzanne Emma, who is of Dutch and Nigerian descent. Their marriage, which began in 2000 and produced four children, was officially dissolved on July 13, 2015, by a Lagos Island Customary Court due to repeated instances of violence.
Despite the challenges, the Nollywood actor and film producer has found happiness again with his new wife, Yolanda Pfeiffer, and they have a baby girl.
In other news, Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Rema recently caused a stir at an event by orchestrating a high-profile introduction between American rapper ASAP Rocky and notable African entrepreneur Tony Elumelu. The encounter took place in Paris and quickly went viral.
In a video shared on social media, Elumelu captured the moment Rema, with his signature charisma, facilitated the introduction. The clip shows all three celebrities smiling, exchanging hearty handshakes, and laughing together.
The billionaire mogul was seen sharing warm words with Rema and ASAP Rocky before they posed for photos, resulting in an image that has become the buzz of the town.
A particularly memorable moment caught on camera features Elumelu and Rema deep in conversation. Elumelu added an extra layer of excitement by featuring Rema’s latest song, “Hehehe,” from his new album in the video’s background, creating the perfect blend of music and humor.
