Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel following the recent decline in global crude oil prices, a move that could provide some relief to fuel distributors and consumers across Nigeria.
The refinery announced a new price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, at ₦1,075 per litre at the depot. This represents a ₦100 reduction from the previous price of ₦1,175 per litre, according to the latest pricing list released on March 10, 2026.
The refinery also noted that petrol delivered through coastal or marine routes will cost ₦1,050 per litre, slightly different from the gantry price due to the additional logistics involved in marine transportation.
Diesel prices have also been adjusted. The depot price for Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel, has dropped to ₦1,430 per litre, a ₦190 decrease from the earlier price of ₦1,620 per litre.

According to the refinery, the gantry prices do not include the statutory charges imposed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
The price reduction comes at a time when global crude oil prices have started to fall, easing pressure in the international petroleum market and influencing fuel pricing in Nigeria.
Industry experts believe the adjustment could offer temporary relief to fuel marketers and bulk buyers who have recently struggled with rising loading costs.
Market observers are now watching closely to see how quickly the lower depot prices will translate into reduced pump prices for consumers across the country.
