Nigerian media personality and entrepreneur Toke Makinwa is facing online speculation after a video of her promoting an upcoming event went viral. Critics allege that she was wearing diapers under her outfit.
In the video, Toke sports a figure-hugging pair of jeans that some viewers found odd around her midsection, leading to the diaper claims.
The online conversation quickly heated up, with social media users divided between those who criticized her and those who defended her. Some suggested that what appeared to be a “diaper” might actually be shapewear or padding meant to enhance her figure.
An Instagram user, @jmk_ara, questioned,
“Why is she wearing diapers just to keep people talking?”
Another user, @andrew.christabel, commented,
“Why is your front so swollen like you wore diapers…?”
On the other hand, some users criticized the focus on Toke’s appearance and called for more responsible commentary.
@gem_treatz_and_more expressed frustration, saying,
“I don’t understand how someone is passing information and the comment section is more concerned about her pr*vate part!? Are we ok in this country?? Seems like overfeeding is doing everybody😒.”
