The song was dedicated to Governor Ademola Adeleke, who happens to be a close friend of both Sir Shina Peters and Momodu, and is also related to the famous singer, Davido.

In his Instagram post, Dele Momodu fondly reminisced about the glory days when Sir Shina Peters’ albums were a global sensation. He reflected:

“We grew up in the SHINAMANIA era. 35 years after SIR SHINA PETERS released that monster album ACE in 1989, we are still unable to shake off that fever that spread across nations like wildfires.”

He went on to say:

“His recent special composition for GOVERNOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE, his bosom friend, rekindled our love for this amazing artist who turned us all into his devotees at the Stadium Hotel in Surulere, Lagos, on Friday nights, during those beautiful, good old days.”
