Maltina Launches Nourishment Tour to Celebrate 50 Years with Ambassador KieKie.

For five decades, Maltina has been a symbol of nourishment and happiness for Nigerians. To celebrate this milestone, the popular malt drink has launched the Maltina Nourishment Tour, a nationwide initiative aimed at nourishing and inspiring one million young minds across the country.

The first phase of the tour began on February 9, 2026, with visits to schools in Lagos, and the programme is expected to expand to other parts of Nigeria in the coming months.

The Maltina Nourishment Tour is designed to highlight the importance of proper nutrition in helping students remain confident, creative, and actively involved in their learning. Through the initiative, students are introduced to practical lessons that show how good nutrition supports their physical and mental development.

One of the highlights of the tour is a series of hands-on science experiments organised in collaboration with STEM Africa Fest. These experiments help students understand how everyday nutrition fuels their bodies, boosts energy levels, and supports creative thinking.

During the tour, students are also given bottles of Maltina, now available in convenient 25cl and 50cl PET bottles designed to fit easily into school bags and daily routines.

The second phase of the tour began on March 9, 2026, with visits to several schools including Government Comprehensive Junior College, Agege; Ikeja Senior Grammar School, Oshodi; Surulere Junior Secondary School; and United Missionary Comprehensive College in Molete, Ibadan.

The visit to the Ibadan school held special significance as it is the alma mater of Maltina’s brand ambassador and media personality, Oluwabukunmi Adeaga‑Ilori, popularly known as KieKie.

Together with Maltina, KieKie returned to her former school to promote healthy nutrition habits among students. During the event, students participated in interactive experiments that demonstrated how nutrients from food and drinks like Maltina are released and used by the body to produce energy.

The Maltina Nourishment Tour will continue to travel across the country, bringing engaging science-based activities to schools. At every stop, students will take part in experiments designed to show how vitamins and minerals contribute to learning, growth, and overall wellbeing.

Key moments from the tour will also be shared on digital platforms, allowing families and educators to follow the programme and learn more about the long-term initiative focused on supporting students’ nourishment and development.

Speaking about the vision behind the project, Elohor Olumide-Awe, Portfolio Manager, Non-Alcoholic Drinks at Nigerian Breweries Plc, explained that the initiative is part of Maltina’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

“The Maltina Nourishment Tour is part of Maltina’s 50th anniversary initiatives, and it goes beyond school visits; it is about building meaningful connections with schools and communities across Nigeria while helping students understand the important link between nourishment and learning.

As a nourishing malt drink enriched with Vitamins A, B, C, and Calcium, Maltina supports the energy and focus students need to grow and thrive. Through the Nourishment Tour, we are bringing science to life and helping students see how what they consume fuels curiosity, thinking, and active learning. This initiative reflects Maltina’s long-standing commitment to nourishing young minds, with a clear plan to spark interest in science and continue to create meaningful impact across schools and communities for years to come.

”As Maltina celebrates 50 years in Nigeria, the Nourishment Tour reflects the brand’s continued commitment to supporting young people with the nourishment and inspiration they need to reach their full potential.
