Victor Osimhen Ranked Above Top Strikers by Galatasaray S.K. Teammate
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continues to earn praise across Europe, with his Galatasaray S.K. teammate Mario Lemina describing the Nigerian as the best striker he has ever played with.
Lemina’s comments highlight the strong impression Osimhen has made through his tireless work rate and crucial contributions to Galatasaray’s recent success.
Lemina Rates Osimhen Above Elite Forwards

Speaking during an interview with Djibril Drame, Lemina explained that although he has shared the pitch with several world-class strikers, Osimhen stands out above the rest.
The Gabonese midfielder listed several high-profile forwards he has played alongside in the past, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gonzalo Higuaín, André-Pierre Gignac and Radamel Falcao.
However, Lemina believes Osimhen surpasses them because of his exceptional determination, relentless pressing, and commitment to helping the team both in attack and defence.
“I’ve played with forwards like Aubameyang, Higuain, Gignac and Falcao, but there’s no one like Victor Osimhen. He’s one of a kind,” Lemina said.
He further praised the striker’s mentality and work ethic.
“Even when he doesn’t score, he’s always contributing. He’s constantly pressing, constantly a threat, and he even defends with us. On top of that, he’s a complete finisher. I’ve never seen a striker this hungry.
“He hates losing. When we lose, he doesn’t want to talk to anyone (laughs). The next day he just puts on his headphones and stays quiet. But those are good habits — it shows his mentality.”
Osimhen Driving Galatasaray’s Success

Osimhen and Lemina have now spent two seasons together at Galatasaray, forming a strong partnership that has helped the club achieve success both domestically and in Europe.
The Nigerian forward has enjoyed an outstanding spell in Istanbul, even setting a club record for the most goals scored by a foreign player in a single season during his loan stint.
His goals played a major role in Galatasaray winning both the league title and the domestic cup, further establishing him as one of the most important players in the squad.
On the European stage, Osimhen has also been vital in the club’s impressive run in the UEFA Champions League. The Super Eagles star has already scored seven goals in the competition and recently assisted Lemina for the winning goal in Galatasaray’s 1–0 victory over Liverpool F.C. in the first leg of their round-of-16 clash.
His all-round influence continues to drive the Turkish side’s push for a place in the quarter-finals — further backing Lemina’s belief that Osimhen is truly a special striker.
