She shared that while she was ready to end their marriage, her in-laws pleaded with her not to proceed, insisting that their divorce “is not of the Lord.” Maureen explained that despite her intentions, when Blossom expressed his desire to end the marriage, he received full support from his parents.

Maureen elaborated on their current status, stating, “My separation happened way before it went public. I am not divorced; technically, I am still married. When you say you are divorced, it means you signed papers, right? All I did was defend him, not because I had to, but because, despite everything, I will never stop saying he is a good person.”

She recounted how she would call his mother, who would give her reasons against the divorce, yet Blossom’s decision to end the marriage was fully supported by his parents. Maureen also addressed public opinion, saying, “People say he dodged a bullet with me, but that’s extreme because if we really want to analyze things on paper, I dodged a bullet.”

Maureen Esisi and Blossom Chukwujekwu tied the knot in 2015, but their relationship hit a breaking point in 2019 due to irreconcilable differences.
