Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has marked the third anniversary of his administration with a strong and reflective message that highlights resilience, accountability, and an intensified commitment to people oriented development across the state.
In a broadcast address delivered to citizens within Rivers State and audiences across Nigeria, the governor emphasized that his administration has remained consistent in its guiding philosophy known as “Rivers First.” He explained that this principle has not only shaped policy decisions but has also influenced how public funds are allocated, how projects are prioritized, and how governance is carried out at every level.
According to Fubara, the past three years have tested the strength and direction of his leadership, yet they have also provided an opportunity to demonstrate that governance can remain focused and effective even in the face of serious political distractions. Beyond road construction, the administration is also investing in public infrastructure such as the reconstruction of the state Secretariat Complex, which is expected to be completed by 2027. There have also been improvements in primary healthcare services, including efforts to strengthen the workforce and expand access to quality care, especially in rural areas. The education sector has not been left out, as reforms are underway to improve teaching standards and support personnel development.
