Vincent Dabilgou, the ex-Minister of Transport in Burkina Faso, has been sentenced to eleven years in prison due to his involvement in the misappropriation of public funds.
During his tenure from 2018 to 2022, Dabilgou was found guilty of embezzling state resources. The public outrage over his actions culminated in a shocking incident that was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media.
The video, which has caused widespread concern, shows citizens of Burkina Faso violently assaulting Dabilgou in broad daylight. In the footage, he is seen being beaten severely, wearing nothing but black boxer shorts. This video was shared by Reno Omokri, a former Nigerian presidential aide, who posted it on his social media page with the caption:
“Viewer Discretion: Grace To Grass: The Barbaric Treatment Burkina Faso Meted To Vincent Dabilgou, Its Former Transport Minister.”
The video has sparked conversations about the extreme measures taken by the public against corrupt officials.
